Biography

Born and raised in a small island in the Philippines, Lucille moved to California in 1991. Besides English, Lucille also speaks Ilonggo, a Philippine dialect that has many similar words in Spanish. She loves spending time with her family, and being near tall trees, the sea and sand. She enjoys driving on the coast along Hwy 1 and spending some time at the beach, even when it is cold.

Lucille has served in the Early Childhood Education field for over 30 years, first as a Montessori guide in the classroom for 2–6-year-old children, as a private Montessori school administrator, and now as an all-around support for the MC CDC staff and administration. She also serves as a teacher trainer and mentor at a South Bay Montessori teacher training center. Her favorite quote is from Maria Montessori, “The child is both a hope and a promise for mankind.”
